Renault rethinks last-mile delivery services in urban environments with its latest Ez-Pro mobility concept â an autonomous and electric vehicle featuring a fleet of shared, customisable “robo-pods”.
The delivery service concept consists of an autonomous leader pod, and a fleet of driverless robo-pods. These robo-pods can either follow each other by platooning or can move independently.
However Renault doesn’t envision the management of the last-mile delivery as entirely autonomous. The leader pod hosts a human concierge who supervises the delivery of goods and service, as well as the fleet of robo-pods.
